FOR WITCHES FLYING...
CHECK-IN:
We will gather at the fountain at the end of Market St.
Check In/4:00pm
Gather to check-in and receive flier wristbands, swag bags, and sign flight waiver. Witches that attended packet pick up (10/26 at 6:00pm-8:00pm at Ensenada Park) and signed their flight waiver, will proceed to the event area with their wristbands on (wristband will be in packet).
ALL WITCHES MUST SIGN FLIGHT WAIVER PRIOR TO FLYING
ALL WITCHES MUST BE CHECKED IN BY 4:30PM.
ALL WITCHES MUST WEAR THEIR WRISTBAND AT EVENT
CONTEST:
Contest Judging begins at 4:00pm
Dreams Come True will begin judging checked in Witches for the Most Legit Witch, Best Group of Ghoul-friends, and Best Broom. Winners announced post ride.
SCHEDULE:
Sponsors will be presented. Group photo-op.
- Formation and Flight/5:00pm
Riders will get into formation. Bikers to be released first, followed by golf carts. ALL GOLF CARTS ARE TO BE BEHIND BICYCLES.
Witches will gather to celebrate the conclusion of the flight. Contest winners announced.
- After Party/6:00pm-8:00pm
Palencia Clubhouse, a portion of sales will go to Dreams Come True.
REMINDERS:
- Ride single file on the path
- Keep to the right of the road
- No sudden stops
- One rider per bike
- No Bike trailers
- Have Fun and cackle along the route for spectators to hear our gathering
- Toss candy to the little witches and wizards
- Attach a speaker to your broom to listen to Halloween music while flying
- Remind spectating family and friends to stay on the sidewalks, DO NOT GO INTO THE STREET!
FOR SPECTATORS...
If you plan to line the route with your littlest witches and wizards to watch the witches fly by and to collect candy here are some tips..
1. Stay on the grass/sidewalk. DO NOT GO INTO THE STREET!! If you were to look South at the South Loop Security house, all adults/children should line the streets on the right side of the road. Lining both sides of the road is a safety hazard! TO RECEIVE CANDY YOU MUST BE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD!!
2. Encourage children to wait until all witches have flown by to collect candy.
3. Witches fly around the entire loop, South Loop to North Loop. If you want to see the witches twice, line the streets starting on the South Loop and then move to the North Loop. Golf carts make this transition quick and easy if you are able to ride in one.
4. Bring a bag or bucket to collect candy.
This is a festive community event that allows everyone of all ages to be involved. SJSO will be directing traffic. If you are not participating in the event and are driving during this time please be cognizant of adults/children on the roads and sidewalks.
